We might struggle with fear when we come up against things we cannot control. Or we might fight it when trying not to worry about the welfare of our loved ones. We might even deal with it when standing against "haters." Whatever the case might be, Jesus Christ has the remedy for fear in His Word. Jesus had to tell His disciples on some occasions, "Fear not." 2 Timothy 1:7 states, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." We all can be overcomers over fear and anxiety and walk in the victory that Christ provides! When we walk in victory over fear, we can do what God has called us to do, and we can be who He has called us to be.

But Christ came to fix that gap that was formed between God and man due to Adams' sin. When we come to Christ, we will still make mistakes in life and so we need refinement to become what we ought to be in God. Yes Adam fell, but that does not mean we have to stay in the fallen position. Because Christ died and rose again, we too, can find occasion to rise in Him. I pray this encourages believers to strengthen their faith and encourages unbelievers to come to Christ.

He calls for a fast and prays, and one of the young men encourages the people by letting them know that the victory was already won and they would not even have to fight in the battle itself to experience the victory. God would do something miraculous to show His people His glory and might. Sometimes it is the same with us nowadays. We find ourselves facing harsh circumstances and God lets us know the victory is already won. When we effectively fast and pray, He fights our battles for us! Praise God!

From the Old Testament to the New Testament, we see God keep His promises because He is a God who cannot lie. As we look at God's covenants with mankind, we see that the Old Covenant is the New Covenant concealed, and the New Covenant is the Old Covenant revealed. In both covenants, we also see that no matter what, what God really wants is a relationship with mankind. He wants a people unto Himself who will worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Come and take a journey with me as I take you through a few aspects of the Old Covenant, the New Covenant and the message of reconciliation.

The reasons for the crimes that occur in suburban communities might be different than the ones for crimes that occur in urban ones, based on context and the various niches that are involved. Pertinent to this issue of suburban crime are race relations, a misconception of suburban neighborhoods, and the level of strength of community safety. There are some who say social disorganization theory explains why crime occurs in suburbs, but in actuality, routine activities theory provides a more efficient argument as to why crime occurs in such areas. Join me as I briefly discuss some of the complex ideas associated with this major issue in society.
